General Overview
The Center on Disability Studies in partnership with the Department of Education and Hawaii Families as Allies has created the Interdisciplinary Disability and Diversity Studies Certificate Program for Student Services Coordinators. This Certificate Program, under the auspices of the State Improvement Grant (SIG) is designed to provide Department of Education Student Services Coordinators (SSC's) with interdisciplinary leadership and skills training to effectively implement the Comprehensive Student Support (CSSS) within Hawaii public schools so all students have an equal opportunity to achieve at school. The Center on Disability Studies has over 16 years of experience with interdisciplinary training across a wide variety of fields and offers a rich and rewarding training experience to the unique role of the SSC.
